3 9X youths get 39 years in prison for drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - To deceive the authorities, Ha Khanh Minh and Vi Van Tuan divided the drugs and hid them in electric poles along the road.

At around 11am on April 1, a man residing in Ban village, Chau Phong commune (Quy Chau) called Ha Khanh Minh to order 15 million VND worth of heroin. Minh agreed. At around 6pm on April 2, Minh invited Vi Van Tuan to Luong Van Phuc's house to buy 10 million VND worth of drugs.
Luong Van Phuc received the money Minh gave him and then turned around to the location where he had hidden the heroin to give to Minh. At Bu Sen slope, Chau Phong commune (Quy Chau), Minh took the heroin he had just bought and divided it into 3 packages. Minh gave one package to his friend to keep and Minh left the other 2 packages as samples for customers to "see the goods". After preparing the "goods", the two friends went to the place where the man had agreed to meet but could not meet him.
On the way back, Minh stopped at an electric pole on the side of the road about 500m from Ban Ban intersection, Chau Phong commune (Quy Chau) to hide a package of drugs. When about 1.5km from Tan Lac town, Minh was asked by the authorities to stop the car for inspection. During the inspection, Minh and Tuan dropped 2 small packages containing white powder. At the scene, Ha Khanh Minh and Vi Van Tuan admitted that it was drugs and there was another package hidden in the electric pole.
The forensic conclusion verified: 3 small packages recovered all contained heroin. Total weight was 37.86 grams.
The panel of judges determined that the defendants’ actions were extremely dangerous and disregarded the law, and that they should be severely punished. However, the defendants all confessed honestly, so they were given mitigating circumstances. Regarding the man who sold drugs to Phuc and the man who bought drugs from Minh, their backgrounds could not be verified, so further investigation will be conducted later.
The People's Court decided to sentence Luong Minh Phuc to 15 years in prison; Ha Khanh Minh to 13 years in prison and Vi Van Tuan to 11 years in prison for "Illegal drug trafficking".
