30 businesses participate in the Sports Tournament of the Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Nghe An province in 2022

The Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Sports Tournament in Nghe An Province is an annual event successfully organized by the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union for many years, attracting the participation of a large number of workers and laborers. However, in this year's tournament, with the meaning of celebrating the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2022), the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board (August 30, 2007 - August 30, 2022) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board decided to coordinate with the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union to organize this Sports Tournament.

With professional investment in both scale and organization, this year's Sports Tournament attracted the participation of 1,149 athletes from 30 enterprises in the Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Nghe An province. Accordingly, the participating teams will compete in 7 events: Men's football; Women's football; Volleyball; Men's singles table tennis; Women's singles table tennis; Sack jumping and Tug of war.

To create the best conditions for organization, the tournament is divided into 2 competition clusters: Nam Cam Industrial Park Cluster, WHA, Hoang Mai, Dong Hoi and Bac Vinh Industrial Park Cluster, VSIP.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Van Binh - Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone emphasized that the Sports Tournament of the Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Zones of Nghe An province is a healthy playground for workers, connecting businesses in the spirit of solidarity, learning and exchange. At the same time, this activity also practically contributes to economic recovery after 2 years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The representative of the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone also expressed his hope that the event will receive the support and participation of business leaders, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for workers in the industrial park in particular and in the province in general.

Speaking at the drawing ceremony, Mr. Vuong An Nguyen - ChairmanSoutheast Economic Zone Trade Unionaffirms that the tournament is a playground exclusively for workers in industrial zones in the province. In order for the tournament to be successful, meaningful, and ensure quality, the Organizing Committee has invited a team of professional referees with expertise and experience in running major tournaments. At the same time, the Organizing Committee will strictly handle violations such as bringing in outside athletes to compete for their team, intentionally causing injury to the opponent, overly excited athletes and fans, not following the referee's instructions, etc.

Attending the ceremony, representatives of participating teams had their questions and suggestions regarding the format and regulations of the tournament satisfactorily answered by the Organizing Committee. The results of the draw for the competition groups promise that this year's tournament will be extremely attractive.

As planned, the opening ceremony of the tournament will take place on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the football field of Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College.
