30 months in prison for old man who molested 7 year old girl
(Baonghean.vn) - Going to a neighbor's house to find a friend to play with, the friend was not home, the 7-year-old girl was taken into the room by the friend's grandfather and sexually abused.
On the morning of September 25, the People's Court of Do Luong district tried defendant Tran Minh Giao (born in 1952).,residing in Phu Tho hamlet, Luu Son commune (Do Luong)tried for the crime of "Obscenity with people under 16 years old".

According to the case file and the trial proceedings, defendant Tran Minh Giao confessed that at around 3:30 p.m. on July 17, 2019, Tran Thi VA (7 years old), Mr. Giao's neighbor, came to his house to play with his grandchild. Mr. Giao's grandchild was not at home, so he lured VA into the house and sexually abused her until Mr. Giao's wife came home, then he told VA to pull up her pants and go home.
On July 20, while bathing her child, VA's mother discovered that the child's genitals were injured. The child said that Mr. Tran Minh Giao had sexually assaulted her. The child's mother then filed a criminal complaint with the Luu Son Commune Police (Do Luong).
Closing the first instance trial this morning, based on the entire case file, the litigation process, and related details, the first instance panel of judges of Do Luong District People's Court sentenced Tran Minh Giao to 30 months in prison for the crime of "Obscenity with a person under 16 years old".
