300 delegates attend the Central Highlands Party Newspaper Conference
(Baonghean.vn) - Focusing on the theme of promoting the role of farmers in the integration period, the 9th Central Highlands - Central Region Party Newspaper Conference, round IV in 2019 was held in Gia Nghia town, Dak Nong province.

This workshop attracted about 300 delegates from 19 Party press agencies in the region and 24 delegations representing press agencies nationwide.

Accordingly, taking place over 2 days, from March 22-23, the Workshop focused on in-depth discussions on leadership, direction, implementation of solutions, methods and forms to improve the quality and duration of propaganda on local Party newspapers on agriculture, farmers and rural areas; opportunities and challenges for farmers in the integration period; the role of local Party newspapers in propaganda and social criticism, shortcomings and inadequacies in agricultural production, current mechanisms and policies related to integration and trends in the coming time according to the integration roadmap of FTAs that Vietnam has signed and will sign.
The workshop also particularly emphasized the role of farmers and the position of Vietnamese agricultural production in the international arena during the integration period.

Delegates also experienced and visited agricultural production models such as durian production at Gia Trung farm (Dak Nia commune, Gia Nghia, Dak Nong); eco-tourism model combined with clean agricultural production at Phuoc Son eco-tourism area, Dak Wel commune; Nhan Co Alumina factory and Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Project in Nhan Co commune (Dak R'lap district, Dak Nong); visited the National Defense Economic Zone at Regiment 720 under Army Corps 16, stationed in Dak Ngo commune (Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong).
Leaders of 19 Party newspapers in the Central Highlands region also participated in presenting a house of gratitude to the family of Mrs. H'put, Sre U hamlet, Dak Nia commune (Gia Nghia town); offering flowers and incense to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while carrying out the task of building and protecting the North-South strategic corridor at the national relic site of Cay Xoai village, Nghia Trung ward (Gia Nghia).

On the morning of March 22, the delegates visited Regiment 720 - Army Corps 16 (Ministry of National Defense). Regiment 720 is currently stationed in Dak Ngo commune, Tuy Duc district.

Here, representatives of press agencies planted nearly 50 trees in the defense economic zone of Regiment 720. The delegation also visited Sin Chai village and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Vang A Cho - Deputy of the village. Sin Chai village is a Mong community with more than 300 households. This residential village was formed in 2002, after Regiment 720 carried out the work of settling down.
