On July 20, at Vinh City Gymnasium - Nghe An, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An organized the 2022 National Youth Sepak Takraw Championship.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Mac Xuan Tung - Head of the Sepak Takraw Department of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training; Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The National Youth Sepak Takraw Championship is an opportunity for units with Sepak Takraw movement nationwide to compete and improve their achievements. This is also an opportunity for professionals to re-evaluate the training and coaching work in localities. At the same time, to prepare the best force for the 9th National Sports Festival which will take place at the end of this year.

This year's tournament, held in Nghe An, gathered nearly 300 athletes from 12 provinces and cities across the country.
Nghe An participates in the tournament with 12 athletes and only competes in the 16-17 age group. There will be 6 events to compete in: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, 3 men, 3 women.
Until now, the strength of shuttlecock in Nghe An is usually men's singles or women's singles. However, with the current force, this tournament, it is likely that the province's shuttlecock can only achieve high results in the 3 men's and 3 women's categories.
