(Baonghean.vn) - These are ethnic minority students of Nghe An province who achieved high scores in the National High School Exam; they are outstanding examples of perseverance in overcoming difficulties to study well.

On the afternoon of August 28, in Vinh City, the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province held an award ceremony for ethnic minority students who achieved high scores in the 2019 National High School Exam.

The award ceremony is held to recognize, encourage and honor ethnic minority students who have the spirit of overcoming difficulties and hardships to rise up and achieve high achievements in studying and training. From there, it arouses the tradition of studiousness, encourages students to study hard; contributes to discovering, nurturing and training talents and high-quality human resources for ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

In the 2019 National High School Exam, 39 ethnic minority students achieved high scores (from 23.55 points or more) in all exam groups, the highest being Nguyen Thi Nhat Mai (Tho ethnic group) in Thai Hoa town with 28.25 points (group B). Of these, 8 students were commended and honored by the Provincial People's Committee on the evening of August 30.

Among the students who were honored and awarded this time, many of them have difficult family circumstances and are students from poor districts such as Ky Son, Que Phong and Tuong Duong. They are truly outstanding examples of perseverance in overcoming difficulties, poverty, and difficult circumstances to study well and achieve high results.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Luong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of schools and teachers who have been dedicated and creative in teaching to train and guide students to excel in their studies.

Along with that is the care and facilitation of parents; the attention and direction of Party committees, authorities at all levels, the Education and Training sector and organizations and unions throughout the learning process of the students. At the same time, we hope that the students will continue to promote the achieved results, try to study and practice to have more new achievements, worthy of the expectations of their families and hometowns.
