39 months in prison for intentional injury

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 3, the People's Court of Nghia Dan district held a public mobile trial of the case of Vo Van Quang, residing in Thuong Khanh hamlet, Nghia Khanh commune, Nghia Dan district, for the crime of intentionally causing injury.

According to the indictment, due to a previous conflict, on the evening of July 8, 2011, on their way back from a trip to the foot of Con Nai hill, Nghia Khanh commune, Nghia Dan district, Nguyen Khanh Ly, Vo Van Quang, Vo Van Sam, Vo Van Tai, Tran Van Tai, and Nguyen Dinh Hoan met Du Van Thuan and Nguyen Ngoc Hoang walking in the opposite direction.

Tran Van Tai gave the knife to Nguyen Khanh Ly, and Vo Van Quang grabbed the stick from Thuan's hand. Nguyen Dinh Hoang asked Thuan and Hoang to kneel down and apologize or he would be beaten. Thuan and Hoang did not kneel, so Nguyen Khanh Ly used a knife to slash, Vo Van Quang used a stick, Vo Van Tai used an iron pipe, and Vo Van Sam used a beer bottle to hit Thuan and Hoang.

As a result, Nguyen Ngoc Hoang was injured, his left eye was damaged, and his disability rate was 48%. After committing the crime against Vo Van Quang, Tran Van Tai fled the area. On August 28, 2015, Quang was arrested under a wanted warrant.

At the trial, Vo Van Quang confessed his crime. Applying Clause 3, Article 104 of the Penal Code, Vo Van Quang was sentenced to 39 months in prison for intentionally causing injury./.
