4 new cases of Covid-19 in the community in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of February 8, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced that there were 4 new cases of Covid-19 in the community recorded in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam currently has 2,005 patients.

Number of cases in Vietnam:

- As of 6am on February 8: Vietnam has a total of 1,115 casesinfected with Covid-19due to domestic infection, of which the number of new cases from January 27 to present: 422 cases.

- From 6:00 p.m. on February 7 to 6:00 a.m. on February 8: 4 new cases, including 0 imported cases that were quarantined immediately.

Information on new cases: 04 NEW CASES (BN2002-BN2005) are community cases in Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically:

- CASE 2002 (BN2002): male, 41 years old, with address in Ward 15, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City;

- CASE 2003 (BN2003): male, 30 years old, with address in Trung My Tay ward, district 12, Ho Chi Minh City;

- CASE 2004 (BN2004): Male, 28 years old, with address in Thanh Loc ward, district 12, Ho Chi Minh City;

- CASE 2005 (BN2005): Male, 32 years old, residing in Nguyen Cu Trinh ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The above patients are baggage handlers at Tan Son Nhat airport, on the same team as patient 1979, have contact with each other, and do not have contact with passengers.

Investigation is continuing. Currently, 4 patients are isolated and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
