On the morning of March 6, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a working session with the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Voice of Vietnam, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to agree on the policy of organizing the program "Nghe An Lotus Festival" and activities towards the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday in Nghe An.
Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.
Every year, on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday and President Ho Chi Minh's Birthday, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province organizes the "Nghe An Lotus Fragrance Festival" to honor, inherit and promote the cultural and ethical values of Buddhism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology and ethics; praising Uncle Ho's contributions to the nation and Buddhism.

In 2020, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has decided to organize the Nghe Sen Huong Festival on a grand scale and with more special content, with the hope that the Festival will become an important event in the series of activities to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. The festival is organized solemnly and respectfully, so that people can express their love and respect for Uncle Ho; contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc.

Representatives of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, VTC Digital Television, Provincial Party Committee for Mass Mobilization, Nghe An Provincial Police, and Nghe An Religious Committee gave their opinions and suggestions so that the Nghe Sen Huong Festival could take place meaningfully, safely, and economically in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic with many unpredictable developments.

Concluding the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh stated: Nghe An province always supports meaningful activities of religious organizations in general and the Buddhist Sangha in particular. The province welcomes the policy of organizing the Nghe Sen Festival, aiming to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee will include the program of the Huong Sen Festival in the plan to organize a series of activities to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and submit it to the Central Party Secretariat for approval. After approval, Nghe An will have specific opinions on the most appropriate time to organize the Festival, ensuring the continuity of the series of events and activities.
