4 drain holes on cars need to be unclogged regularly
Drain holes at the base of the windshield, gas tank cap, doors or sunroof are places that need to be cleared regularly to prevent water from accumulating, overflowing and damaging the vehicle.
Current car models are equipped with many drainage holes to help prevent mold and stagnant water from causing rust and unpleasant odors, especially during the rainy season.
Below are the drain holes that need to be unclogged regularly and drivers can check very simply at home:
Drain hole at the base of the windshield:If this drain hole is clogged with dirt and leaves, dirty water can overflow into the air conditioner's air intake, causing an unpleasant musty smell in the cabin. Therefore, it needs to be cleared regularly.

Drain holes in 4 doors:The doors are also equipped with drainage holes at the bottom, allowing water to easily drain out in case the vehicle moves into a flooded area that is higher than the bottom edge of the door. This is a drainage hole that needs to be cleared regularly.
Sunroof drain hole: This drain hole can be seen right in the groove when the sunroof is opened. If clogged, water will seep or drip into the cockpit and interior, causing unpleasant odors and long-term damage.
Drain hole in fuel tank cap:The fuel tank cap is also equipped with a drain hole to help keep this area dry, free of moisture and stagnant water.
In addition, some cars also have drainage holes in the spare tire compartment. If these holes are clogged with leaves or dirt, we need to use a long hose to clear the blockage or use a water spray bottle and dry spray to clean.
