4 reasons why young people should not quit their jobs when they first start
The beginning is always difficult, especially for young people and new graduates.
Before taking a job, most people always hope to work in a dynamic environment, learn many new things from open, friendly colleagues and have the opportunity to advance. However, everything after that is not as imagined and after only one week of starting, you want to quit...
But quitting your job too soon can negatively affect your career development for the following four reasons.
1. Difficulty recognizing one's strengths and weaknesses
CareerLink's HR Manager shared that when you leave a job that you have just started after a few days, it means that you have not yet had much exposure and experience with this position. Of course, when everything happens too "quickly", you cannot fully understand yourself, and cannot recognize your strengths and limitations in your current job.
So don't give up too soon, you won't be able to realize your true potential and will most likely continue to make mistakes when applying for future jobs.

2. Missed opportunities for growth
The current hardship may actually be good for you in the long run, but if you leave too soon, you will never know. Growth often happens when we step out of our comfort zones, and the current hardships are what help you grow. If you give up too soon in the face of adversity, you will always be left behind.
Instead, communicate honestly with your superiors to ask for support and be more patient to receive valuable lessons and improve yourself.
3. You are not ready
You may be ready to leave your job, but you may not be ready for the next one. If you just chase the title, the higher salary somewhere else without being properly prepared, you will definitely get upset. This can start a process of "panic" or self-doubt that quickly leads to the urge to leave again. And if you don't improve your skills or maintain a high level of confidence in the meantime, you will "struggle" when you start looking for another job.
Instead of assuming that the obstacles are with your manager, company or team, look within yourself. You need to find out the cause of your frustration and think about how to improve, for example, you are unhappy because of the lack of support at work, establish close relationships with colleagues, superiors to achieve that.
4. Loss of reputation and impact on personal image
If you give up without trying to overcome the challenge and encounter the same difficulty again, you will face the same fear. Other problems may arise in the new company and you may find it difficult to handle constructive criticism. This makes you look incompetent and unskilled and will undermine your self-image regardless of your position.
You can interview for new jobs to get a broader perspective and see what you can do, but that's not okay if it's your "exit" method. Before making any premature moves, take some time to identify what you like about the job and pay attention to the factors that scare you, such as negative feedback. It may be that after some reflection you really need to leave. Just make sure you know what you're doing and why.
