(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in 4 months, export turnover in Nghe An reached 354 million USD, up 11% over the same period, of which goods reached nearly 246 million USD, up nearly 16% over the same period.
Some key product groups in the area such as textiles, tapioca starch, seafood, stone products of all kinds, etc. continue to maintain good growth momentum.
Specifically, in the agricultural, forestry and fishery group: cassava starch reached nearly 8 million USD, up 11.5%; aquatic products reached 5.3 million USD, up 29.6%; tea reached 3 million USD, up 21%; pepper reached 1.47 million USD, up 18.2%. The turnover of these products increased due to increased demand and import orders.

Fuel and mineral group: superfine white limestone reached nearly 12 million USD, up 20.7%; white limestone reached nearly 8 million USD, up 11.2%; paving stone reached 1.44 million USD, up 154.8%.
Notably, in the first 4 months of 2019, there was an additional petroleum product exported by Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company to the Lao market with an estimated turnover of 4.9 million USD in 4 months.

Processing industry group: With the appearance of many export textile companies, processing orders and export markets increased, so textile products increased sharply, up 59%, reaching nearly 74 million USD in 4 months. Currently, there are 22 export garment companies in the province, an increase of 7 enterprises compared to 2018.
In addition, plastic additive products, fruit juices, etc. increased sharply.
However, some items saw a decrease in turnover, such as fresh fruit, down 14% due to lack of supply and unstable export output to China. Wood chips decreased by 4%; phone components decreased by 13% due to decreased export demand.
