40 hotel receptionists in Nghe An compete in English
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 29, 40 contestants from 1-5 star hotels and tourism training establishments in the province participated in the 2018 Nghe An Province Hotel Receptionist Skill Competition.
The province currently has 839 tourist accommodation establishments with nearly 1,000 receptionists. In 2017, the whole industry welcomed and served 5.96 million tourists, of which over 3.85 million stayed; total revenue from tourism activities reached 6,086 billion VND.

Speaking at the contest, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism affirmed that nearly 1,000 receptionists in contact with 3.85 million guests showed the interaction, influence and important role of receptionists in building the image, quality of products, services and revenue of hotels in particular and Nghe An tourism, Vietnam tourism in general.
Therefore, organizing the Hotel Receptionist Professional Competition is an opportunity for receptionists to exchange and learn experiences, further improve their professional quality, and build an increasingly professional tourism human resource team.

The contestants are all receptionists with at least 1 year of experience in the profession, fluent in English. 40 contestants must pass 2 main test contents: professional skills and communication skills with presentation and situation handling in Vietnamese and English.

The final results are expected to be announced at the closing ceremony of the contest tomorrow morning (August 30).
