40 universities to use IELTS for admission in 2023
The University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the University of Commerce and many other schools have announced the use of IELTS English certificates for admission in 2023.

Specifically, in the 5 expected regular university admission methods in 2023,University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi)Notice that the subjects of the international certificate admission method can be candidates who possess an IELTS English certificate of 5.5 or higher, with a total score of the remaining 2 subjects in the admission combination of the industry reaching at least 14 points in the high school graduation exam.
InUniversity of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), IELTS English certificate is used for admission in many different ways.
In particular, for the admission method based on the results of the high school student capacity assessment test organized by Hanoi National University, the school stipulates that candidates must have a capacity assessment test result of at least 80/150 points or higher and have an English score of at least 7 points or higher in each semester of 6 high school semesters; or have an IELTS certificate of 5.5 or higher.
The admission method of international English certificate combined with high school academic results and combined with interview of the University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) requires candidates to use IELTS certificate with average academic results of 5 high school semesters (grade 10, grade 11 and semester 1 grade 12) of 2 subjects in the admission group (including Math, Literature/Physics/Geography/History) from 15 points or higher and combined with interview, specifically as follows:

In addition, candidates can also use an IELTS certificate of 5.5 or higher combined with the results of 2 high school graduation exams in the admission group of 15 points or higher to apply for admission in combination with an international English certificate combined with the results of 2 high school graduation exams to the University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
The University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) stipulates that the general condition for the international English certificate admission method is that the IELTS score is converted according to the international English certificate score conversion table to a 10-point scale. The certificate must be valid for a period of 2 years from the exam date to the date of application submission.

Candidates with IELTS Academic score of 5.5 or higher can also apply for admission using the method of combining international certificates with high school study results to the University of Commerce. The calculation of the score for this method is the average score of 3 years of high school study in Mathematics and the average score of 3 years of high school study in the remaining subjects in the admission group (excluding Foreign Language) combined with the conversion score of the above international certificate.
