A German driver suffered a painful death while driving on the road when suddenly a “strange object” fell on him. It was an 80-year-old woman who jumped off an overpass and landed on the head of a 70-year-old driver.

German police said the head-on impact and the elderly woman's weight killed the driver on the spot. After falling through the glass window, the victim collided with the driver, killing him instantly. The incident happened on August 1, 2017, in the city of Aachen.

At the scene, police discovered a suicide note left by the roadside. At the time of the accident, the driver was taking his wife and children for a trip near the Belgian border. The other passengers in the car were not injured.

“The victim was passing by at the exact moment the old woman fell to the ground,” said a police spokesman.
