A German driver suffered a painful death while driving on the road when suddenly a “strange object” fell on him. It was an 80-year-old woman who jumped off an overpass and hit the 70-year-old driver in the head.

German police said the head-on impact and the weight of the elderly woman killed the driver on the spot. After falling through the glass window, the victim hit the driver hard, killing him instantly. The incident happened on August 1, 2017 in the city of Aachen.

At the scene, police found a suicide note left on the side of the road. At the time of the accident, the driver was taking his wife and children for a trip near the Belgian border. The other people in the car were not injured.

“The victim was passing by at the exact moment the old woman fell to the ground,” said a police spokesman.

Both were taken to Royapettah Hospital for emergency treatment. Sharadha died from her injuries, while Selvam suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his head and legs.

Witnesses said the woman jumped from the balcony of her seventh-floor apartment. She was later taken to San Juan Hospital in Alicante with multiple injuries.
