5 Song Lam Nghe An players arrived in Hanoi to join U23 Vietnam

In the first training session lasting about a week, the French strategist introduced a very new training program. Every day, the players had to go to the field to practice with a high density of 2 sessions/day, in which the training time was notably from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There were even training sessions that the players had to practice for up to 2.5 hours in the evening.

However, requiring players to practice at night seems to be a "specialty" of Coach Philippe Troussier. When he was leading the U19 Vietnam team in 2019-2020, the French coach also had the players practice until almost midnight. According to an assistant of Coach Philippe Troussier, late practice helps the players focus better, and besides, in the summer the weather is not as hot as during the day.

During the first training session, the players will mainly get acquainted with the philosophy of new coach Philippe Troussier. The players will have a month of training with 4 concentrated stages.

In the final training phase, U23 Vietnam was reduced to 24 players and 3 goalkeepers in the U22 age group to attend the 32nd SEA Games in May in Cambodia./.
