People with colorectal cancer have digestive disorders, going to the toilet many times a day, very similar to the symptoms of dysentery. Need anal examination In fact, detecting colorectal cancer during examination is not difficult. Doctors only need to examine by hand, without the need for enema or endoscopy, to be able to make a diagnosis. When thinking about colorectal cancer, the doctor needs to wear gloves to insert into the anus to examine. If it is low rectal cancer, blood will be seen on the hand. If colorectal cancer is detected early, the patient will have surgery to remove the tumor, along with chemotherapy and radiation therapy according to the doctor's regimen. According to a recent study in Vietnam, if detected early and both chemotherapy and radiotherapy are applied before surgery, the rate of patients with the disease recurring within the first year is only 11%. Many patients have lived healthy lives for more than 20 years after the disease was discovered, and are now over 80 years old. |
