“Van Loc” is the village’s Chinese name given by Nguyen Su Hoi with the great meaning of wishing for “a thousand blessings to flow to this land”. Van Loc Temple has a very beautiful location, in front of the temple is the peaceful Cam River, behind is Lo Mountain, on the right is Dragon Mountain, on the left is Tuong Son Mountain creating the position of “dragon and tiger” and “beautiful landscape”. The temple was ranked by the State as a National Historical and Cultural Relic in 1991.

Lo Son Pagoda

The Chinese name is Pho Am Tu, Lo Son Pagoda was built during the Le Dynasty, in Van Loc village, Chan Loc district, now in block 6, Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town. Lo Son Pagoda was built by Prime Minister Nguyen Van Mien in the Vinh Thinh year (1705 - 1719) under King Le Du Tong.

In 2005, the pagoda was ranked as a provincial historical and cultural relic. In particular, in early spring of Tan Mao 2011, the pagoda was honored to receive the Buddha's relics from Venerable SanVaDo at Suyli Pagoda (Myanmar).

Cua Hoi Ecotourism Area was established in 2000 on an area of 5 hectares, hidden under a cool green pine forest. The ecotourism area has seafood dining services, private stilt houses, freshwater lake fishing, sea bathing... This is an ideal resort for those who want to escape the noisy, bustling atmosphere of the city. Especially from this location, visitors can see Ngu Island with two islands connected to each other, explaining why the island is also called Song Ngu.

In particular, on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30, the Vinpearl Cua Hoi hotel, entertainment and resort villa complex is one of three projects in Nghe An province that will be inaugurated and put into use.

Hon Ngu Island

Also known as Song Ngu Island, more than 4 km from Cua Lo beach. There are 2 islands here: the small island is 88m high, the big island is 133m high, which has long been an attractive subject for many poets and writers. According to the ancients, King Le Thanh Tong also often went on patrol and rested to enjoy the poetic beauty here.

But the most interesting thing is still sitting on a basket boat to catch squid - an entertainment service that has created the tourism brand of Cua Lo over the years. Coming here, you can also enjoy many Cua Lo seafood specialties, especially the famous dragon snail dish, seven-course cobia fish and extremely delicious Song Ngu wine.

Lan Chau Island

Located right next to Cua Lo beach, Lan Chau Island is also known as Ru Coc Island because the island has the shape of a giant toad stretching out to the vast ocean.

Lan Chau Island divides Cua Lo beach into two completely separate areas. At high tide, you have the opportunity to witness the entire foot of the island slowly sinking under the sea. At low tide, the west side of the island will connect to the mainland to form a peninsula. The east side of the island has steep cliffs stretching out to the sea. Over time, the erosion of wind and waves has created rocks with special shapes.
