On the afternoon of October 11, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong chaired a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the report on the results of 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 56-KL/TW dated February 21, 2012 of the Politburo on promoting the implementation of Resolution 5 of the 9th Central Committee (term IX) on continuing to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of the collective economy.

In recent times, the Provincial People's Committee has paid attention to and regularly directed the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on cooperatives. The development of cooperatives has had positive changes. From 2013 to 2017, the whole province had 168 newly established cooperatives; the operational efficiency has been increasingly improved, not only contributing effectively to the socio-economic development of the locality but also contributing to creating a relationship of solidarity and cohesion between the government and the people, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and the locality.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing related contents such as: Mechanisms and policies to support the establishment of cooperatives; the role and attention of Party Committees, authorities and relevant sectors in leading, directing and promoting the transformation of cooperative models...

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong stated: Cooperatives with diverse forms of association have contributed to the formation of value chains from production, processing to consumption. In the coming time, it is necessary to promote training and vocational training, improve the quality of human resources in the cooperative economic sector and cooperatives, and at the same time foster and improve economic understanding as well as management skills of the management team in cooperatives.

The representative of the Provincial People's Committee requested that, no later than October 16, the relevant departments and branches must send written comments to the drafting unit, paying attention to comments on the development of mechanisms and policies of their sectors to create conditions for cooperatives to develop. The drafting unit will receive comments from relevant departments and branches, promptly complete the 5-year summary report on the implementation of Conclusion No. 56/KL-TW and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee at the upcoming regular meeting. In particular, the report will include the implementation results of Nghe An, comparing them with the results of the North Central region and the whole country to have a more comprehensive and general view.
