5 suspects arrested in the murder case at University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital

Due to the conflict over "looking at him", Dat's group slashed Nam and continued to pursue him to the place where the victim was being treated to stab him more times.

Dong Da District Police (Hanoi City) said that 6 people involved in the murder case in Hanoi Medical University Hospital in the early morning of May 7 were identified as:Le Tan Dat, Le Cong Thanh, Nguyen Xuan Huy, Vuong Van Nam, Nguyen Minh Duc, Doan Tien Nam. Of these, Dat is on the run, the rest have been arrested.

Two of the five suspects were arrested.

According to the suspects' statements, at about 3:10 a.m. on May 7, at Trung Tu bridge area, Dinh Giang Nam argued with Dat's group.Thinking that Dat was "looking at him," Nam took the tablet he was carrying and hit the young man on the head.

The two sides shouted insults and got into a fight. Nam was beaten by Dat's group and fell on the street. When Dat's group left, some local people took Nam to the Hanoi Medical University Hospital for emergency treatment.

Knowing that Nam was being treated there, Dat's group rushed to the emergency room on motorbikes and overpowered the security guards and doctors. Dat, holding two knives, and two young men slashed Nam while he was lying on the hospital bed.

Mr. Nam was injured in the head, neck and both hands and is in the process of intensive resuscitation.

Authorities are consolidating their files to prosecute the case for murder. Other people involved are being sought.
