5 reasons why the air conditioner's condenser unit leaks water
(Baonghean.vn) - Air conditioners leaking water from the hot block is a fairly common phenomenon during use. However, this problem is not too serious but it is not pleasant for users. So, what is the cause and how to fix this "disease".
1. Normal error

A phenomenon considered normal when the hot block leaks water is due to the cold air on the gas pipe causing water from the outside environment to condense and then drip from the hot block to the floor.
Users do not need to worry too much, however, to confirm whether the machine is faulty or not, you should call a technician to check if this phenomenon occurs.
2. Due to broken drain pipe

This is considered the most common cause, because when the air conditioner operates for a long time, the humidity in the room is separated from the air before falling onto the evaporator, then forming water and dripping into the drain pan, forming streams into the drain pipe.
Therefore, it can be seen that if the drain pipe is broken, the water inside will overflow.
3. Due to dust on the condenser

Another reason that can cause the condenser to leak water is because the evaporator is covered with dust. Because, the air conditioner will have a lot of dirt stuck to it if not cleaned regularly and lead to clogged drain.
If the drain pipe is clogged, simply clean the condenser by removing the dust filter and using a water hose to clean it, let it dry and then reinstall it.
4. Due to lack of gas in the air conditioner

Air conditioners lacking gas are also one of the reasons why the air conditioner leaks water in the hot block. Because when the air conditioner is low on gas, it will lead to the phenomenon of freezing inside the evaporator, the air conditioner will not ensure enough temperature and cause the ice to melt through the water tray and overflow.
Also, check to see if there is any obstruction in the hot block, as that is also the cause of water leakage in the air conditioner.
5. Installation error

Air conditioners leaking water from the hot block can also be due to installation errors; the water pipe is not installed with a slope, or the pipe is too long and has no ventilation holes. The water is not completely drained out and flows back into the condensate tray, causing water leakage.
