5 principles to help destroy hidden acne quickly
Hidden acne is often difficult to treat because the acne is deep under the skin. However, with the right treatment, you can destroy this type of acne.
Hidden acne is a non-inflammatory acne, with the core located deep and tight in the hair follicle, usually small in size, growing in clusters. Although it does not cause pain to the skin, hidden acne makes the overall skin surface rough and not smooth.
Hidden acne often appears most often around the chin, under the cheeks or forehead.
Recognize hidden acneAccording to Dr. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Department of Dermatology, District 5 Hospital (HCMC), some signs to recognize hidden acne are:
- The acne does not protrude, the core cannot be felt on the face, making it difficult to remove as usual. In addition, hidden acne is quite small in size.
- The acne-affected skin feels a bit rough to the touch but is not swollen or red, and is not painful even when impacted.
- Acne does not grow individually but in clusters, concentrated quite thickly. Hidden acne will increasingly spread to surrounding areas on the face.

According to the doctor, to treat hidden acne you need to follow these principles:
Thorough makeup removal:After applying makeup, you should use creams and makeup removers to completely remove makeup residue from your face. Avoid using makeup too often when your skin is acne-prone.
Cleanse your face:This doesn’t mean you have to use a foaming, high-detergent cleanser. Choose a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser that contains salicylic acid.
This is an important ingredient in preventing the development of acne. In addition, do not touch your face to avoid spreading bacteria that can make acne worse.
Exfoliation:Exfoliation will help your skin "breathe" easier, absorb nutrients from creams and beauty products better.
When exfoliating acne-prone skin, you must be careful to clean but not rub too hard. Do not use exfoliating granules that can easily scratch and make skin inflammation worse.
So, use a grain-free product that you apply to your skin as a mask or a chemical exfoliant that is oil-soluble to deeply clean pores, stimulate new cells, and push acne to the surface of the skin.
Facial steaming:This method causes the pores to dilate, stimulates the acne to rise and makes acne treatment easier.
Use a skin mask:Masks you can use in this case include oatmeal masks or a mixture of lemon and honey.

Honey has good anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. When combined with lemon, it can stimulate hidden acne to rise to the surface of the skin, making it easier to remove.
Ingredients to prepare: 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
How to do: Squeeze fresh lemon juice, add honey to a small cup and then use a cotton ball or finger to absorb the solution, apply on the face. After about 15-20 minutes, wash your face with cold water. Because the acid in lemon is very strong, do not overuse it to dry the skin, only use a maximum of 2-3 times per week.
