Which 5 groups of people are eligible to renew their Health Insurance cards?

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has agreed to extend the health insurance card until June 30, 2016 for people in 5 groups of subjects who have received payment or support from the State budget to buy health insurance cards in 2015.

The above 5 groups of subjects include: poor households; near-poor households; ethnic minorities living in ethnically disadvantaged areas; people living in areas with special socio-economic difficulties and people living in island communes and island districts. These subjects are paid by the State budget, supported with payment levels according to the provisions of the amended and supplemented Law on Health Insurance and documents guiding the Law.

List of extremely disadvantaged communes, border communes, and safe zone communes subject to investment under Program 135 in 2016 implemented according to Decision No. 204/QD-TTg dated February 1, 2016 of the Prime Minister.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to urgently develop plans, methods and tools to guide localities in organizing surveys and identifying policy beneficiaries according to the provisions of Decision No. 59/2015/QD-TTg dated November 15, 2015 of the Prime Minister on promulgating multidimensional poverty standards applicable for the period 2016 - 2020.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs submits to the Prime Minister for approval the List of extremely disadvantaged communes in coastal and island areas eligible for investment in the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2016-2020 period in accordance with the implementation plan of Resolution No. 100/2015/QH13 dated November 12, 2015 on approving the investment policy for national target programs for the 2016-2020 period issued together with Decision No. 398/QD-TTg dated March 11, 2016 of the Prime Minister.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ethnic Committee to urgently submit to the Prime Minister for approval the criteria for identifying extremely disadvantaged villages and communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2016-2020 period according to the multidimensional poverty standards in accordance with the plan issued with Decision No. 398/QD-TTg dated March 11, 2016 of the Prime Minister./.
