500 kg of cat meat of unknown origin found on a North-South passenger bus.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Dien Chau traffic control station has just seized 500 kg of animal products without a verifiable origin.

At 9:30 AM on December 30th, at Km 418 in Dien Hong commune, the Dien Chau Traffic Control Station patrol team inspected a passenger bus with license plate 17B 01076 driven by Nguyen Nhu Duc, residing in Nam Truc district (Nam Dinh province), traveling in the direction of Vinh – Hanoi.

During the inspection, authorities discovered 5 styrofoam boxes containing slaughtered animal products (suspected to be cats), each weighing 100kg. The driver had no documents proving the origin of the products.

A quantity of food of unknown origin was seized.

According to the driver's initial statement, at around 8 PM on December 28th, an unidentified woman in her 30s boarded the bus in Dong Thap, leaving five styrofoam boxes and saying that someone would come to pick them up at Thai Binh bus station.

Authorities inspect the seized food items.

The Dien Chau Traffic Control Station has now seized the goods and handed them over to the Dien Chau Veterinary Station for processing according to the law.
