500kg of cat meat of unknown origin on North-South passenger bus

(Baonghean.vn)- Dien Chau traffic control station has just seized 500 kg of animal products of unknown origin.

At 9:30 a.m. on December 30, at Km 418 in Dien Hong commune, the patrol team of Dien Chau Traffic Control Station inspected a passenger bus with license plate 17B 01076 driven by Nguyen Nhu Duc, a resident of Nam Truc district (Nam Dinh province), heading from Vinh to Hanoi.

Through inspection, 5 foam boxes containing slaughtered animal products (suspected to be cats) weighing 100kg each were discovered. The driver did not have any documents proving the origin of the products.

Food of unknown origin seized

According to the driver's initial statement, at around 8:00 p.m. on December 28, an unidentified woman in her 30s took a bus in Dong Thap to deliver 5 foam boxes and said that when she arrived at Thai Binh bus station, someone would come to receive the goods.

Authorities check the seized food.

Currently, Dien Chau Traffic Control Station has made a record of temporarily detaining the above goods and handing them over to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for handling according to the provisions of law./.
