50 Russian aircraft conduct live-fire drills near North Korean border
The Russian Air Force held its first live-fire drills of 2018 near the borders with North Korea and China.

Russia's Defense Ministry said yesterday that more than 50 fighter jets took part in the first live-fire drills this year.in three areas bordering China and North Korea,Newsweekreport
During the exercise, Russian military aircraft fired various types of rockets, bombs and airborne artillery.
Moscow has stepped up its military muscle-flexing near the Korean Peninsula. The Pacific Fleet spent four times longer at sea last year than planned. The Primorye region, which borders North Korea, has the highest rate of combat readiness in Russia.
Russia is one of three countries that shares a land border with North Korea. Pyongyang’s nuclear and ballistic missile tests, along with a series of war threats from Washington, have raised concerns in both Moscow and Beijing about the risk of military conflict in the region.
