Doan Thi Nga was the only candidate taking the History exam at the examination board of Thai Lao High School, Nghe An. However, Nga did not feel out of place and was confident that she did well on the exam.

At the examination center of Thai Lao High School, Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An province), there was one candidate taking the History exam. That was Doan Thi Nga (candidate number 130159, examination room number 1) - a student of class 12A4, Thai Lao High School.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Long, chairman of the examination board at Thai Lao High School, the entire board consists of 59 people, including 37 invigilators, and the rest are security guards, support staff, police officers, and military personnel.

After finishing the Physics exam, everyone stayed to supervise the History exam – even though there was only one candidate taking the exam. “Specifically for the History exam, we assigned three invigilators: Ms. Thơm (invigilator 1), Mr. Sự (invigilator 2), and Mr. Thanh (invigilator 3). Even though there was only one candidate, we followed the rules and regulations of the 2014 high school graduation exam.”

"In addition, I also instructed the invigilators to encourage and reassure the candidates, avoiding putting pressure on them or violating exam regulations," said Mr. Long. Doan Thi Nga is a top student in History at the school. Last year, she represented the school in the provincial History competition and won an honorable mention. Although she was the only one registered to take the History exam, Nga said she felt very relaxed before the exam, didn't feel lost, and was confident she would do well.

After finishing the History exam, candidate Nga left 20 minutes early. Nga seemed quite shy when approached by many reporters, but she said she did quite well on the exam. "The exam had 3 questions, and I answered all 3 completely. I'm very confident with my work," Nga shared.

Speaking about her feelings about being the only one to register for the History graduation exam, Nga said she felt sad about the current state of her classmates' learning in this subject. "I just hope that next year there will be more candidates taking the History exam," Nga said.
