6,000 young men enlist in the army.

(Baonghean) In the first recruitment wave of 2013, 6,000 young men in Military Region 4 were selected for military service.

Specifically, Thanh Hoa province assigned 2,400 recruits; Nghe An 1,650; Ha Tinh 550; Quang Binh and Quang Tri each 400; and Thua Thien Hue 600. 50% of them have a high school education or higher. The new recruits were assigned to the 324th Division, the 908th Division, regiments, brigades, branches of service, and local army battalions stationed in the six provinces of the Military Region.

Prior to the troop handover day, Party committees, governments, and departments and organizations at the local level within the military region organized visits and presented gifts to the new recruits. Currently, the responsible departments of Military Region 4 have directly gone to the localities to attend the troop handover ceremony on February 25th, with Quang Binh province holding the handover on February 26th.
