6 juniors of Oanh Ha were sentenced to death
Tran Van Cuong, 37 years old, and 5 other juniors of drug lord Oanh Ha were sentenced to death for trafficking nearly 100 kg of drugs.
On the afternoon of January 29, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City determined that Cuong, from Hai Phong, played a leading role in the ring.drug traffickingled by Vu Hoang Oanh, also known as Oanh Ha, 64 years old (internationally wanted, Dung Ha's sister).
Tran Thi Le Chi (46 years old, residing in Tien Giang province); Vu Quang Trung (61 years old, residing in Nam Dinh) played a role in assisting and transporting drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam for sale.
Nguyen Thi Hue; Tran Van Thinh; Pham Duy Minh; Pham Thi Binh (48 years old, living in Hanoi) and Dong Duong Nam were accomplices, buying and selling drugs for profit.
According to the panel of judges, at court, the defendants Trung, Thinh and Hue did not admit to the crime, but the case file had sufficient grounds to conclude that from March to May 2018, the defendants had repeatedly bought and sold drugs under the direction of Oanh Ha. In particular, Cuong and Trung transported 4-8 kg of methamphetamine every 2-5 days.
In total, Oanh Ha's ring trafficked nearly 100 kg of various drugs, earning tens of billions of dong. The defendants' actions were especially dangerous to society, buying and selling extremely large quantities of drugs.
From there, the panel of judges accepted all the requests of the People's Procuracy, sentencing the 6 defendants Cuong, Trung, Hue, Thinh, Minh, and Binh to death for the crime of ""Illegal drug trafficking". Defendants Chi and Nam were sentenced to life in prison. The defendants also had to pay a fine of 30-100 million VND.
Vu Hoang Oanh is wanted internationally, the investigation agency is separating the actions, when arrested will handle later.

In 2010, Oanh Ha opened a large casino in Vung Tau and was arrested by the Criminal Police Department (C02, Ministry of Public Security). After her prison term expired, the boss continued gambling in Lam Dong province and served another 2 years.
Oanh Ha moved to ThoMos Border Gate (Cambodia) and rented a large hall at Casino 666 (near the Vietnam border) to organize gambling and drug trafficking. Since April 2018, she rented 2 houses for Cuong and Trung's families to live in, and gave them a car to transport drugs from Cambodia to Saigon. The drugs were taken from Oanh's warehouse near the casino in Cambodia or brought by a Cambodian.
When they learned about the activities of the Oanh Ha gang in Saigon and the ringleaders in Cambodia, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with Cambodian police to raid the casino and arrest many people. However, the boss was blocked by her followers and taken out the back door to escape on a motorbike.
