6 signs to recognize children with personality disorders in the future
It is not difficult to recognize a child at risk of personality disorder or violence when growing up. Parents need to pay special attention to be able to correct their children from an early age, limiting deviant development in the future.
The first years of life are extremely important for each individual. Parents not only nurture but also have the responsibility to teach and shape their children's perspective on the world around them.
Experts say that as early as age 3, signs that a child may have a behavioral disorder are easy to spot. However, many parents do not pay attention or think they are insignificant.
JM Macdonald, an American psychologist, analyzed the behavior of about 100 criminals to draw out the following 6 notes for parents.
1. Cruel to animals
Cruelty to animals is one of the most obvious signs of mental disorder in children.
When you explain to a child that it is not okay to pull the cat's tail or the dog's leash, if the child understands and does not repeat these actions in the future, then you have nothing to worry about. However, if the child still shows violence or even kills them, then it is time for you to take immediate action.
This is how future criminals express their anger. Moreover, they often kill their victims in the same way they harm animals. The US FBI even lists animal abuse cases in their annual crime report.

2. Bedwetting
There is no certainty that a child over 6 years old who still wets the bed will become a psychopath in the future. However, this disorder is the root cause of violent behavior in a child because they are often ridiculed leading to anger. If parents do not react promptly, leaving the child alone to face ridicule and insults, it will cause their personality to develop abnormally.

In the past, Soviet murderer Andrei Chikatilo suffered from bedwetting and was often beaten by his mother, which led to a desire to see other children suffer. |
3. Violation of the rules
Almost every child has been in a situation where they were forced to lie out of fear. But many children lie frequently or disobey rules no matter how severe the punishment because they see doing wrong as fun.
Like a child stealing a toy not because they need it, they just feel happy with what they do. Such children are very likely to become criminals in the future.
4. Not knowing how to repent
When being punished, a normal child will be very scared and quickly apologize. However, with children always showing pride and confidence because of their mistakes, this is the time when adults really have to pay attention to find the appropriate course of action.
Children who have a mentality that it is not their fault are more likely to have behavioral problems in the future. Of course, not everyone with this personality will become a psychopath, but it is still an important reason to seek help from a psychologist.
5. Bullying other children
Of course, not all children who bully their friends have a personality disorder. A person becomes a bully for many reasons: to get attention, to show power, to imitate their parents or idols... But if your child does it just because he likes and enjoys the feeling of hurting others, he will most likely become a criminal in the future.
6. Insensitive
Your child is not as easily frightened or emotional as other children. Children who are not easily stressed will not have the fear of doing wrong.
