6 male students prosecuted for sexually assaulting drunk female friend
Police believe that a group of male students intentionally gave alcohol to a 10th grade girl at a birthday party to make her lose her ability to resist.
On the afternoon of March 26, Trieu Phong District Police (Quang Tri) initiated a case and prosecuted 6 male students for gang-raping a 10th grade female student.
Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Minh (Chief of Trieu Phong District Police) said that because the suspects are students, the investigation needs to be careful. Previously, when summoned by the authorities, some male students admitted to the acts of abuse.
Authorities determined that the six male students had intended to get the female student drunk from the start, causing her to lose her ability to resist. Some were detained, while others were released on bail. However, the case is still under further investigation.

On the morning of March 25, Trieu Phong authorities received a complaint from a family saying their daughter was sexually assaulted after a birthday party.
At around 9pm on March 24, hearing a noise in the yard, the family ran out and found the 10th grade female student lying unconscious, not knowing who had brought her home. The girl was taken to the emergency room with many abrasions on her neck and face, yellow skin, low blood pressure, coma, and life threatening. Discovering that the girl had signs of sexual abuse, after 30 minutes of emergency treatment, the doctor transferred her to a higher level.
According to authorities, that same afternoon, the female student attended a birthday party in Trieu Trach commune. The party had 9 male students and one young man.
