"If requested, we are ready to share the recording of the conversation that took place inside the consulate and to know what happened. The content of the tape is a real tragedy. Even a Saudi intelligence officer was shocked when he heard it," President Erdogan said.

Speaking to reporters, President Erdogan also said that the killer could be a heroin addict. "Only people who are controlled by stimulants would dare to do such actions," Mr. Erdogan said.

According to President Erdogan, Türkiye is currently "patiently waiting" for Saudi Arabia to clarify this crime, although some Saudi Arabian authorities are showing opposition and hindering the investigation.

Mr. Erdogan added that the suspects were among 18 senior Saudi officials ordered to Istanbul on the day journalist Khashoggi was murdered.

"The killer is among these 18 people. But that is not all, we need to investigate who gave the order" - the Turkish President emphasized and said that he will continue to monitor Riyadh's actions to give an answer about the location of journalist Khashoggi's body.

Although Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan claimed to have shared the recording with the six countries mentioned above, up to now only Canada is the first country to confirm this evidence.
