Recently, US Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke warned that terrorist groups are plotting to carry out a bloody terrorist attack on US territory, similar to the 9/11 terrorist attack 16 years ago that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Speaking at the US Embassy in London, Ms. Duke said: “Terrorist organizations like IS or other groups want to carry out a big explosion like they did on September 11, 2001. They want to bring down planes, and intelligence agencies know this information.”

Terrorists will continue to carry out smaller-scale attacks, including using everyday items such as knives and common vehicles, Ms Duke added.

Commenting on the possibility of terrorist groups changing tactics, Professor Clive Williams of the Australian National University emphasized that at the present time, carrying out a large-scale terrorist attack is impossible.

According to this expert, no terrorist group currently has the capacity to carry out an attack as large as 9/11. However, a terrorist attack that kills hundreds of people is possible.

The Russian Defense Ministry said today, November 23, that the country's state-of-the-art spy ship, the Yantar, has been deployed to the search area for the ARA San Juan submarine. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to help Argentina in the search for the missing submarine.

According to RT, the submarines equipped on the Yantar can dive to a depth of up to 6,000 meters. These submarines are also equipped with specialized equipment for complex underwater operations. In addition, the Yantar spy ship is also designed with modern detection equipment that allows it to accurately determine the location of the missing submarine.

In addition to the Yantar, the Russian military also sent a team of maritime rescue experts to assist Argentina in the search for the San Juan.

The Russian assistance comes as search and rescue teams are racing against time to locate the missing submarine. The 44 crew members of the San Juan may still be alive after contact was lost on November 15, but they are likely to run out of oxygen.
