According to Cao Minh Phuong, head of the Road and Rail Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province, although the number of railway accidents decreased in the first six months of the year, railway accidents in Nghe An province still account for a high percentage compared to the national average.

At the meeting, delegates also assessed the results of implementing the coordination regulations between the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Nghe An province on ensuring traffic safety at intersections between roads and railways, according to coordination regulations No. 06/QCPH - BGTVT - UBND tỉnh dated March 15, 2013.According to assessments, level crossings where the road is a national highway or provincial road managed by the Road Management Sub-departments have had most of their road and railway issues repaired. However, level crossings where the road is a district or commune road still have outstanding issues that fall under the responsibility of the road management unit.
