First six months of 2015: Nghe An province granted investment licenses to 87 projects.
(Baonghean.vn) – The Nghe An Department of Planning and Investment announced that in the first six months of 2015, Nghe An granted new licenses and adjusted licenses for 87 projects totaling 27,363.51 billion VND. Simultaneously, several projects were started, including a raw water supply plant for Vinh City and its surrounding areas, the upgrading of berths No. 5 and No. 6 at Cua Lo Port, and preparations for the commencement of the Hoa Sen Quynh Lap steel sheet factory...

Of the 87 licensed projects, 68 were newly granted investment certificates with a total registered investment capital of VND 26,922.60 billion; 19 projects were adjusted with a total additional capital of VND 440.91 billion. Foreign direct investment (FDI) was granted to 6 new projects/USD 50.6 million, and 3 projects were adjusted/USD 0.9 million in increased capital.
Recently, Nghe An has attracted many large-scale projects that serve as a foundation for the province's socio-economic development in the coming years, and these projects are being actively implemented, such as: the VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Zone project invested by Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited with a total investment of over 3,200 billion VND; the project to invest in the construction and operation of infrastructure in Zone D, Nam Cam Industrial Park by Tuan Loc Construction Joint Stock Company (total investment of 2,500 billion VND); Hoa Sen Steel Sheet Factory (2,300 billion VND); MDF Fiberboard Factory project (1,900 billion VND); Masan Northern Food Industry Center in Nghe An (1,200 billion VND); Nguyen Kim Commercial Center (550 billion VND); and the project for the conservation and development of high-quality medicinal plant resources.
