6 months of support of over 2 billion VND for families of martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 2, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held a conference to review activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2018.
In the first 6 months of 2018, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs carried out the following activities: visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the province, seriously wounded soldiers being treated at the centers;
Coordinated with the People's Committees of districts, cities, towns and units to give more than 1,025 gifts to families with a total value of more than 580 million VND; coordinated with districts to build 25 gratitude houses and give away dozens of savings books...
The total value of support from the association in 6 months reached more than 2 billion VND.

The key tasks in the last 6 months of the year, the Association continues to participate in activities such as on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27; supporting information to search for martyrs; supporting martyrs' families to carry out DNA identification procedures or move martyrs' remains to their hometown cemeteries...
Continue to mobilize organizations and individuals to support the Martyrs' Families Support Fund so that the Association can support martyrs' families with difficult living and housing circumstances; it is expected that in the last 6 months of the year, it will continue to support 5 to 10 houses and give away 10 to 15 savings books.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the Association's work from 2016-2017; contributing to repaying and showing gratitude to martyrs and families with meritorious services in Nghe An.
