63 female students were awarded vocational training certificates sponsored by KOICA project (Korea)
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 13, in Vinh City, the Vocational Training - Employment Promotion Center - Provincial Women's Union held a closing ceremony and awarded vocational training certificates to 63 female students who participated in the project "Vocational training to create financial independence for Vietnamese women" (2015 - 2017 period).
This is a project funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and managed by the Korean Association of University Women (KAUW).
Attending the closing ceremony were Ms. Kim Jung Sil - President of Kauw; Ms. Lee Kye Sun - Director of Kauw program in Vietnam; Ms. Le Thi Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union and trainees attending the training program.

With the sponsorship of this project, the Vocational Training and Employment Promotion Center of the Provincial Women's Union opened a sewing class, food processing techniques class and A-B computer class attracting 63 students from localities in the province, aged 22 to 25, most of whom had graduated from junior high school and high school.

Twin sisters Nguyen Thi Hien and Nguyen Thi Hoa (born in 1993) from Hoa Son (Anh Son) suffer from hemolytic disease. Their family is extremely poor. After finishing school, they will return to their hometown to borrow capital from the district Women's Union to open a tailor shop in the hope of supporting themselves. |
With the purpose of vocational training for unskilled workers, especially female workers after graduating from junior high school and high school who have no jobs. The course hopes that after being trained at the Center, when returning to their hometown, they will find jobs and gradually take control of their own lives.

After 4 months of training at the Center, students have acquired standard vocational knowledge according to the program prescribed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, which was developed by teachers and staff of the Center to suit the reality of students and the requirements of local employers. In addition, students are also supplemented with other knowledge and skills required by workers such as career orientation tests, Labor Law, Social Insurance Law, Health Law, etc.

The Korean Women's University Association is concerned with the quality of education and other conditions for classrooms such as meal allowances for students, salaries for teachers, and adequate classroom supplies as committed.

At the end of the course, 82.5% of students achieved excellent results, 12.7% achieved good results, and the rest achieved average results. Of these, 12 students were awarded for their excellent academic achievements./.
