65 years of the Public Security sector implementing the 6 teachings of President Ho Chi Minh.

On June 4th, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force studying and implementing the six teachings of President Ho Chi Minh; the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation; and to honor outstanding examples in the emulation movement of the People's Public Security Force.

President Truong Tan Sang; Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang, along with other Party and State leaders, attended and commended the police generals, officers, and outstanding delegates in the emulation movement "People's Police studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho".

President Truong Tan Sang emphasized that the Party, the State, and the people acknowledge and highly appreciate the loyalty, sacrifice, and immense contributions of generations of police officers to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

In their work and combat, thousands of police officers have bravely sacrificed themselves for the Fatherland; tens of thousands of police officers and soldiers have dedicated themselves day and night, silently overcoming all hardships and difficulties to successfully complete their tasks, contributing to protecting the socialist regime, maintaining law and order, and ensuring the peaceful and happy lives of the people.

Expressing strong agreement with the goals, requirements, and tasks of the emulation movement "People's Police studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho" in the coming period, the President stated that the People's Police should continue to organize throughout the force the study and thorough understanding of the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho for revolutionary police officers; make the study and implementation of the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho a central and continuous content in the regular activities of Party organizations and units; and constantly strive to study, train, and improve themselves as Uncle Ho taught.

The President stated that, along with organizing the movement "People's Public Security studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho" in conjunction with studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh and implementing Resolution No. 4 of the 11th Central Committee "Some urgent issues concerning Party building today," the People's Public Security force needs to do a good job of Party building, resolutely preventing and repelling the decline in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, bureaucracy, corruption, and waste among cadres, Party members, and soldiers of the People's Public Security force.

This is the most decisive factor for the continuous development and growth of the People's Public Security Force, enabling it to excellently fulfill its duties.

The Chairman affirmed that the People's Police must do a good job of advising Party committees and authorities at all levels to regularly pay attention to leading and directing the movement "Studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho," strengthening coordination, assistance, and mobilizing all strata of the people to support favorable conditions for police officers and soldiers to effectively implement the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho and successfully carry out the task of protecting security and order in the new situation.

The People's Police need to coordinate closely with all levels and sectors, strengthen widespread propaganda, and mobilize the people to proactively and actively participate in the work of protecting security and order.

The President expressed his confidence that, with its glorious traditions and achievements over the past 65 years, in the new era, the People's Public Security force will certainly continue to lead the patriotic emulation movement, successfully fulfilling its arduous and glorious nhiệm vụ.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, General Tran Dai Quang stated that 65 years ago, during the extremely difficult and fierce early days of the resistance war against the French colonial invaders, President Ho Chi Minh issued the "Call for Patriotic Emulation" to awaken the spirit of patriotism and mobilize the strength of the entire people in the resistance war, building and protecting the young revolutionary government.

Responding to his call, for the past 65 years, along with the nationwide emulation movement, the patriotic emulation movement within the People's Public Security force has always developed strongly with rich and vibrant forms and content, suitable for the implementation of political tasks in each period, such as the movements "Protecting Public Order," "Maintaining Security and Preventing Espionage," "For National Security," "The People's Public Security Force Sacrificing for the Nation and Serving the People..." The content of these movements closely adheres to and implements the six teachings of President Ho Chi Minh on the character of a revolutionary police officer.

From 2008 to the present, the emulation movement "People's Police studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho," closely linked with studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, has made an important contribution to building a continuously growing and mature People's Police force.

Over the past 65 years, the People's Public Security Force has had more than 90 collectives and individuals awarded the Gold Star Order and the Ho Chi Minh Order by the Party and the State; hundreds of collectives and individuals have been awarded the titles of Hero of the Armed Forces and Hero of Labor; tens of thousands of officers and soldiers have been awarded various medals and decorations, contributing to the glorious history of the Vietnamese People's Public Security Force: "Loyal to the Party - Dedicated to the people - Selfless for the nation, serving the people."
