Zimbabwe's new President Emmerson Mnangagwa, 75, named his new cabinet on December 1 and is expected to appoint two vice presidents after a special conference of the ruling ZANU-PF party in mid-December.
However, the Zimbabwean leader quickly replaced Education Minister Lazarus Dokora with Paul Mavima - a professor and ZANU-PF party MP.
In addition, Professor Clever Nyathi was also removed from his position as Minister of Labour of Zimbabwe. He was replaced by Ms. Petronella Kagonye, a member of parliament of the ruling party. On the morning of December 3, the Seonchang-1 ship, with a capacity of nearly 10 tons, carrying 20 passengers on a fishing trip and 2 sailors, collided with a 336-ton oil tanker near Incheon port, west of Seoul, South Korea.
The death toll from a tourist fishing boat that sank after colliding with an oil tanker off the country's west coast has risen to 13, the South Korean coast guard said, after six more people died in hospital.
Two people are still missing, including the captain. The remaining injured are being treated in hospital.

North Korean media reported on December 3 that at the factory, Mr. Kim praised workers for producing large tires for the 9-axle vehicle carrying the Hwasong-15 missile without relying on imported equipment.
The head of the Pyongyang government called for efforts to increase production to "meet the growing needs of the country's economic development and strengthening of national defense capabilities," North Korean news agency KCNA described.
Also according to KCNA, since September, President Kim Jong-un has assigned the Amnokgang Tire Factory to produce tires for "a major event in November".

5. Former Egyptian Prime Minister missing after being deported from UAE

Reuters reported that the family of former Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafik said on December 3 that they have not known his whereabouts since he was deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Cairo on December 2 after he announced his intention to run for Egyptian presidency next year.
Former Prime Minister Shafik's family said he was picked up at his home in the UAE on December 2 and flown back to Cairo by private jet. A Reuters witness said Egyptian authorities escorted Mr Shafik in a motorcade from the airport.
Former Prime Minister Shafik's family and lawyers also said they planned to file a complaint with the prosecution about the politician's whereabouts.
6. North Korea warns US-South Korea military exercises could lead to nuclear war

North Korean media reported on December 3 that the country's Foreign Ministry condemned the joint military exercise between the US and South Korea called Vigilant Ace, scheduled to take place from December 4 to December 8.
According to the North Korean Foreign Ministry, this is the largest-ever military exercise between the US and South Korea against the country.
“The United States is planning to conduct the largest-ever joint military exercise with South Korea against North Korea from December 4 to 8, in order to escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula,” said an announcer of North Korea’s KRT news agency. “If the Korean Peninsula and the world are dragged into a nuclear war by the recklessness of the United States, the United States will be held entirely responsible for it.”
7. Truck crashes into crowd in New York

US police are searching for the driver who drove his car into a crowd on the morning of December 3 in Queens, New York City, killing one person and injuring three others, according to AP.
A New York police inspector said the suspect, a man with a ponytail, fled the scene, and the injured were taken to area hospitals.
Police are still investigating, and said there was a minor scuffle before the suspect drove into the crowd. There is no indication that this was a terrorist attack.
The incident occurred in the context of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) organization continuously carrying out truck attacks on crowded places in the US and Europe.
At the end of October, a suspect also drove a pickup truck into a bicycle and pedestrian path in Lower Manhattan, New York, killing 8 people and injuring more than 10 others.
