7 consecutive explosions in Bangkok capital
In the central areas of Bangkok (Thailand), a series of 7 explosions occurred, with only 2 injuries reported so far - Nation TV reported.
The first three explosions were heard one after another within 5 to 7 minutes at 05:00 (1:00 Moscow time) in the Pratu Nam area - one on the corner of Phetchaburi Street and two 300 meters from the first explosion point, on the ground floor of the Indra Regent Hotel building, which houses a shopping showroom and ready-made clothing stores.

In the first explosion, two municipal service workers were injured while cleaning up trash: the homemade explosive device was buried in a pile of dry leaves. Both victims suffered minor injuries.
Pratu Nam district, located near the Congress Center in the Centara Grand Hotel, will host ministerial meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states and its dialogue partners this week, including the East Asia Summit and the Regional Security Summit, with ASEAN Foreign Ministers joined by delegations from Russia, the United States, China and others as well as the EU.
Two more explosions occurred at around 8:00 local time under the "Chongnonsi" metro station on Narativat Street, in an area where several banks and several embassies, including the Russian embassy, are located. No one was injured in these explosions.
At around 9:30, two more explosions were heard in the King Rama IX Road area, near the Government Buildings complex. It is not yet clear whether there were any victims in these explosions.
The next explosion occurred at around 10:00 am at the Thai Armed Forces General Staff building, where police engineers found two suspicious objects that could be homemade explosive devices.
Two more explosions were heard at the same time at the main government building complex on the northern outskirts of Bangkok. There were no casualties.
Police advise residents and visitors to the city to be cautious and to immediately notify authorities if they see anything suspicious.
Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha strongly condemned the bombings and promised to find those responsible soon.
