In recent times, the hospital has sent many working groups to South Sudan and countries such as the UK, India, China, France, etc. to study and learn from experience. The hospital has received training on equipment sponsored by the US worth more than 2 million USD.

US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink expressed his impression and appreciation for the professional training and thorough preparation of the field hospital doctors and nurses. The field hospital was the first destination during his visit to Ho Chi Minh City this time.

Field hospitals include levels 1, 2 and 3, the highest being level 1. The field hospital located at Hospital 175 is at level 2 and is the first field hospital in Vietnam to serve the training of medical staff participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
