All 8 students participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad won prizes.
The Vietnamese student team has just won 3 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals and 2 Certificates of Merit (Encouragement prizes) at the Asian Physics Olympiad.
On May 7, the Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assessment (Ministry of Education and Training) announced that it had just received information on the results of the 2016 Asian Physics Olympiad of the Vietnamese national team. Accordingly, all 8/8 contestants won prizes, including: 3 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals, 2 certificates of merit (Encouragement prizes).
Three students won Silver medals:Nguyen The Quynh (grade 11, Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted, Quang Binh province),Dinh Thi Huong Thao (grade 12, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province) andNguyen Quang Nam (grade 12, High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education).
Bronze medal winners include: Pham Quang Minh (grade 12, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted),Pham Ngoc Nam (grade 12, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province) andNguyen Van Quan (grade 12, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province).
Ha Anh Duc (grade 12, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University) andDo Thuy Trang (grade 12, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province) received a certificate of merit.
The 2016 Asian Physics Olympiad was held in Hong Kong. The Vietnamese national team of 8 students competed from May 1 to 9.
