8 Vietnamese students competing in the 2014 Asian Physics Olympiad won prizes

The group of 8 students won 1 Gold Medal, 4 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals and 1 Encouragement Prize.

The Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assessment (Ministry of Education and Training) said that 8 students participating in the 2014 Asian Physics Olympiad in Singapore all won prizes, including 1 Gold Medal, 4 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals and 1 Certificate of Merit (Encouragement Prize).

The Gold Medal winner is Cao Ngoc Thai, a 12th grade student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An province.

The four students who won Silver Medals include: Dao Phuong Khoi and Do Thi Bich Hue, both 12th graders, High School for Gifted Students, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vu Thanh Trung Nam, 11th grader, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi city; Pham Nguyen Tuan Anh, 12th grader, High School for Gifted Students, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

Cao Van Nam, an 11th grader from the High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, an 11th grader from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An Province, won Bronze Medals. Hoang Phuong Anh, a 12th grader from Luong Van Tuy High School for the Gifted, Ninh Binh Province, received a certificate of merit.

It is expected that the Vietnamese delegation of officials and students participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad will arrive at Noi Bai International Airport on the afternoon of May 19./.
