Eight Vietnamese students who participated in the 2014 Asian Physics Olympiad won prizes.

The team of 8 students participating in the competition won 1 Gold Medal, 4 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals, and 1 Honorable Mention.

The Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance (Ministry of Education and Training) announced that all eight students who participated in the 2014 Asian Physics Olympiad in Singapore won awards, including one Gold Medal, four Silver Medals, two Bronze Medals, and one Certificate of Merit (Honorable Mention).

The student who won the Gold Medal is Cao Ngoc Thai, a 12th-grade student from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School in Nghe An province.

The four students who won Silver Medals are: Dao Phuong Khoi and Do Thi Bich Hue, both 12th-grade students from the High School for Gifted Students affiliated with the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vu Thanh Trung Nam, an 11th-grade student from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi; and Pham Nguyen Tuan Anh, a 12th-grade student from the High School for the Gifted, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

Cao Van Nam, an 11th-grade student from the High School for the Gifted, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, an 11th-grade student from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School in Nghe An province, won Bronze Medals. Hoang Phuong Anh, a 12th-grade student from Luong Van Tuy Specialized High School in Ninh Binh province, received a Certificate of Merit.

The Vietnamese delegation of officials and students participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad is expected to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport on the afternoon of May 19th.
