8 villages with crafts registered for recognition in 2015
(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of 2015, the Provincial Cooperative Union received 8 local craft villages to register for recognition as craft villages in 2015.
They are: Yen Phu flower and ornamental plant village, Minh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh; Giap Quan traditional carpentry village, My Thanh commune, Yen Thanh; Nhang village for growing mulberry and raising silkworms and weaving brocades in Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop; Trung Hau carpentry village, Tan Son commune, Do Luong; Thai Minh brocade weaving village, Tien Ky commune, Tan Ky; Nam Cuong molasses production village, Quang Phong ward, Thai Hoa town; Mong brocade weaving village, Cam Muon commune, Que Phong; Na Nhang domestic rattan and bamboo weaving village, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong. Currently, the Provincial Cooperative Union is consulting and supporting the development of these units from craft villages to craft villages.

At the same time, the Provincial Cooperative Union has guided 7 craft villages recognized in 2014 to receive craft village recognition certificates, bringing the total number of craft villages in the province to 133. In the first 6 months of 2015, handicraft and craft village production was quite stable, with export turnover reaching 8 million USD. Craft village development has contributed to poverty reduction, improving workers' lives, and implementing the new rural construction program in localities.
