8 secret reconnaissance teams surrounded wanted prisoners hiding in the forest
More than 150 police officers divided into 8 secret groups to raid the fields in Son Thuy commune, Van Ban district (Lao Cai) to arrest escaped prisoner Trieu Van Tai.
Trieu Van Tai (born in 1978, residing in Van Ban district, Lao Cai province) is wanted by the Ministry of Public Security for the crime of escaping from detention while serving a sentence of more than 12 years in prison for the crime oftheft of propertyfrom 3/4/2021.
Tai was identified as a reckless and reckless subject. At the time of his escape from Hong Ca prison, Ministry of Public Security (located in Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province), Tai carried a weapon with him with the intention of fighting back if he encountered the authorities.
After more than 4 months of hiding, in the early morning of August 11, Tai was arrested by Lao Cai Provincial Police in coordination with Hong Ca Prison Police while hiding in a field in Tham Pha village, Son Thuy commune.

According to private sources, in order to arrest Trieu Van Tai, the police force followed every clue and trace to arrest him. During the journey of more than 4 months, Tai continuously moved through many areas in Lao Cai province, making the police force's pursuit more difficult.
Through reconnaissance documents, it was determined that after escaping, Tai returned to his hometown and hid in the old forests. News of a wanted fugitive made local people panic and worried. By mid-May 2021, Tai moved and hid in many areas in Bao Thang, Bat Xat districts, Sa Pa town, and Lao Cai city (Lao Cai province).
While hiding, Tai always carried weapons and stole some properties such as motorbikes, livestock, and poultry from people in the hiding areas.

"This is a very reckless, reckless, and cunning subject. Being a highland native, he is very familiar with the mountainous area, skilled at hunting wild animals, and always carries weapons ready to fight back when detecting the authorities, so many times the scouts have surrounded him but have not been able to catch him," the source said.
By dawn on August 11, through intelligence work, the reconnaissance force determined that Trieu Van Tai was hiding in a villager's hut on a field in the Tham Pha village area.
Immediately, the joint forces of more than 150 officers and soldiers from Van Ban District Police, Lao Cai Provincial Police Criminal Police Department, Hong Ca Prison, and Son Thuy Commune Police divided into 8 secret groups to surround the shack area that very night.
Due to the surprise attack, Trieu Van Tai was unable to react in time and was quickly subdued and arrested by the forces. After being arrested, Van Ban District Police handed him over to Hong Ca Detention Center for further processing according to regulations.
It is known that the arrest of prisoner Trieu Van Tai was directly directed by the Ministry of Public Security and assigned to Lao Cai Provincial Police to coordinate in developing a plan to arrest the subject after issuing a wanted notice for this person.
