85 million VND for a two meter high vase
Arranged by 3 artisans, the vase of 500 delphiniums required 6 people to carry.
The owner of an imported flower shop in District 1 (HCMC) said that he had just completed and successfully delivered a vase of wild flowers worth 85 million VND. This vase includes 500 special blue delphinium branches, over 1 meter long, and imported foxtail flowers about 1.2 meters high each.
According to the owner of the flower shop, this vase is over 2 meters high and was completed by 3-4 professional artisans. To transport it, it requires a pickup truck and 6 people to carry it. "A tycoon in District 1 ordered this vase to give to his wife on October 20th. It is the most unique vase this year and brings together strange flowers that the shop rarely imports to Vietnam," said the representative of this shop.

In addition, the store has also completed a pair of vases worth 132 million VND, including a 70 million VND vase with white roses, phalaenopsis orchids, Dutch star flowers, and some imported leaves dyed in gold and silver. The 62 million VND vase has Allium flowers and some other types of flowers.
There are also some “huge” vases worth 30-40 million VND, the owner of a flower shop in District 3 said, this year customers placed orders early. Orders from 1-6 million VND increased by 20% compared to previous years, although the price of imported flowers increased by 20-25%, domestic flowers increased by 10%. “The price increased but this year the market demand is still good so the amount of imported flowers still increased by 1.5 times,” the shop owner said.
In Hanoi, Ms. Phuong, the owner of a flower shop in Dao Tan, also said that this year customers ordered flowers early. This week, her shop received several hundred orders every day. In addition to the usual varieties, unusual varieties such as apples and Dutch roses were sold out as soon as they arrived. In particular, apples and purple berries from the Netherlands cost half a million VND per branch but were still "sold out".

Assessing the market this year, shop owners said import prices have increased by 25%. If last year imported roses were only 80,000 - 100,000 VND per flower, this year they have increased to 120,000 - 150,000 VND. Selected domestic roses have also increased by 20,000 VND to 80,000 VND per flower.
According to flower traders, this year the weather is not favorable so the domestic supply is not as abundant as before. Therefore, flower prices are high and are expected to increase on the two days close to October 20.
Recorded at Van Thanh flower village (Da Lat), a rose branch costs from 2,500 to 3,000 VND, 2.5 times higher than last month and three times higher than the same period last year. In particular, the price of red roses has increased dramatically to 3,300 - 3,500 VND per branch (three times higher than usual). Meanwhile, other types of roses such as yellow, white, moonlight, lotus petals... also fluctuate from 2,500 - 2,800 VND per branch, an increase of 2 to 2.5 times compared to the same period.
