88 students from Nghe An province received the title of National Outstanding Student.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the results of the National Excellent Student Examination for the 2016-2017 school year. As a result, 88 students from Nghe An province won prizes, including 7 first prizes. All of these students are from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.

With these results, Nghe An is among the provinces with the highest number of national-level outstanding students, along with Hai Phong, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. Among the awards, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and English each had 10 students winning awards (a 100% success rate). Next were Informatics and Literature (9 students each). The remaining two subjects, History and French, each had 5 students winning awards.

Notably, among the awards, seven students won first prize. These were Le Nhat Minh, Tran Huu Binh Minh, Dang Hoang Long, and Nguyen Thanh Binh – first prize in Physics; Thai Ngoc Anh and Hoang Nghia Tuyen – first prize in Chemistry; and Ngu Thi Ha Trang – first prize in History. In addition, 29 students won second prize, 30 students won third prize, and 22 students received honorable mentions.

Among the first prize winners, Le Nhat Minh, who won first prize in Physics, is the only student currently in 11th grade and also the highest-scoring contestant from Nghe An province.

According to the results recently announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, along with Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Vinh University High School for the Gifted has 23 students who won awards. These include 4 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 11 consolation prizes.
