9 cars had their windows smashed while parked in an urban area
Ha Dong District Police are coordinating with other units to investigate the case of 9 cars parked on the sidewalk in Van Quan urban area, Ha Dong, having their windows smashed.
On June 17, a representative of the Ha Dong District Police (Hanoi) said that the District Police Criminal Police Team is coordinating with the Hanoi City Police Criminal Police Department to investigate the case of 9 cars with broken windows.
At around 7:00 a.m. the same day, Ha Dong District Police received a report from residents that on the night of June 16 and early morning of June 17, many cars parked on the sidewalk in front of CT8A and CT8B apartments in Van Quan urban area (Van Quan ward) had their windows smashed.
Through initial verification, police recorded 9 cars with broken windows.
Afterwards, Ha Dong District Police were present at the scene to verify, investigate the incident and work with the owners of the vehicles whose windows were broken.
Some car owners said that the latest time to park their cars was around 11pm. At around 6:30am on June 17, these people were informed by the apartment security that their car windows had been smashed.
All of the above vehicles were left unattended.
"Initially, the authorities have preliminarily assessed this as a case of property theft.", a representative of Ha Dong District Police said and informed that most car owners do not leave many assets inside.
The incident is being investigated and clarified.
