90% of condoms in Vietnam are of unknown quality

Market research shows that more than 90% of condom products in Vietnam are currently imported, but the quality of the products is still unclear and lacks supervision and management.

The information was presented at a workshop to announce key findings from market research and consumer surveys on condoms, lubricants, low dead-volume syringes, also known as red-tip syringes, and HIV testing services (HTS).

The workshop was organized by the Market Growth Promotion Project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by PATH in collaboration with the Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control (Ministry of Health) on the morning of December 15 in Hanoi./.
