90 Nghe An students won prizes at the 2018 National Excellent Student Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the result just announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on the evening of January 30. With this result, Nghe An continues to be one of the provinces with the highest rate of National Excellent Students in the country.
Among Nghe An’s 90 awards at the National Excellent Student Competition this school year, there were 4 first prizes, 22 second prizes, 40 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes. All the award-winning students were students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

Among the four students who won first prize, there were Nguyen Duc Bao (first prize in Math); Phan Nhat Duat (first prize in Chemistry), Tran Thi Thanh Tu (first prize in Literature) and Dau Tran Ai Chau (first prize in History).
Thus, with this result, the number of National Excellent Students in Nghe An increased by 2 students compared to the previous school year. Currently, although there are no official statistics, with 90/102 candidates winning prizes, Nghe An is the province with the highest passing rate of National Excellent Students in the country at 88.25%.
Also through statistics, there are many subjects with very high admission rates such as Math 10/10 students, Physics 10/10 students, Chemistry 10/10 students, Biology 10/10 students, Informatics 9/10 students, Literature 10/10 students, History 10/10 students, Geography 9/10 students, English 7/10 students, Russian 2/6 students and French 3/6 students.
In the 2016-2017 school year, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted ranked first in the country in the admission rate of the National Excellent Student Exam (87%). Of these, 6/10 subjects had a 100% passing rate, including Physics, Chemistry, English, Biology, Mathematics and Geography, and 7 candidates won first prize.
