Celebrating Spring – celebrating the Party's ever-growing strength, hearts are filled with joy as we think about the future, with so much hope for the stature and position of our nation. Spring of the earth and sky, the Party of the people. Celebrating the new Spring, each person feels even more proud of their country, and even more confident in the Party's determination to lead the entire nation into a new era.
Without experiencing the suffering and humiliation of a century of national subjugation; without living in slavery, how can one understand the value of independence and freedom? It is no coincidence that the Vietnamese people have always proudly and self-evidently acknowledged that "the Party is the spring of the nation." Ninety-five years may not be long compared to the thousands of years of Vietnamese history of nation-building and defense, but the spring of 1930, with the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam, is recognized as a glorious historical milestone: From this point on, the revolutionary path of our people has been guided by the Party.
The birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam was a spark, a flame that illuminated the truth, fueling the yearning and hope for change in the fate of tens of millions of people suffering in a life of slavery. The Party fulfilled its leadership mission for the people; the people trusted the Party, wholeheartedly followed it, regardless of hardship and sacrifice; they fought to abolish the old and build the new; millions united as one, rising up like a surging sea, sweeping away all obstacles, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, guiding the revolutionary cause through countless rapids and steadily forward.
From the first Spring of Independence in 1946, under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese people for the first time held the ballot box, choosing the most worthy representatives to represent their right to self-governance in the National Assembly, gradually perfecting the young revolutionary state apparatus, drafting the first Constitution, conducting a protracted resistance war to build the nation, and then in the Spring of 1954, launching the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, a 56-day and night battle of "digging tunnels in the mountains, sleeping in bunkers, enduring rain and eating meager rations, blood mixed with mud," achieving a historic victory "renowned throughout the world, shaking the earth," ending nearly 100 years of French colonial rule.
After 21 years of resistance to liberate the South, our nation achieved another peak of victory in the Spring of 1975, launching the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign with all our might, celebrating the reunification of the country, North and South united as one, and joining hands to rebuild the nation. After much struggle, even paying the price for mistakes, in the Spring of 1987, we embarked on the national renewal process in accordance with the spirit of the Party's Sixth Congress Resolution, ushering in a period of rapid national development with successive victorious Springs on the path to prosperity and happiness, inspiring dreams and aspirations for the songs of Spring on the journey to building a strong and prosperous nation.
It seems that fate also favored the people; the 11th, 12th, and 13th National Congresses of the Party all took place in the first month of the year, in the springtime atmosphere of "the Party's will and the people's aspirations" intertwined, bound together, brimming with faith and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, transforming Vietnam from a poor and backward country into a confident nation among middle-income countries, beginning its development, and becoming a nation with a solid foundation, prestige, and position on the international stage.
Alongside economic development, the struggle to build and strengthen the Party, ensuring its purity and strength, continues to yield many remarkable results. While we do not gloat over the disciplinary actions taken against many high-ranking officials by the Party and the law, we are pleased that these actions have made the Party increasingly cleaner and more reputable in the eyes of the people, living up to the aspirations and expectations of President Ho Chi Minh for a ruling Party, as expressed in his Last Will and Testament.
What could be more joyful than a country continuously developing steadily? GDP growth in 2024 is estimated at around 7%, exceeding the target set by the National Assembly (6-6.5%). Economic growth for the entire period 2021-2025 is estimated at around 6% per year, placing Vietnam among the high-growth countries in the region and the world, with a projected GDP of approximately US$500 billion in 2025, a 1.45-fold increase compared to 2020, ranking 33rd globally and 4th in ASEAN; per capita income is expected to increase from US$3,720 in 2021 to approximately US$4,900 in 2025 (about 31.7%).

Vietnam's current achievements, potential, position, and international prestige are compelling evidence affirming that the path we are taking is correct, in line with Vietnam's realities and the development trends of the times; affirming that the correct leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining the victory of the Vietnamese revolution. Therefore, the Party's Platform continues to be the ideological banner, the fighting banner, and the banner that unites the strength of national solidarity to strive for a Vietnam that is "prosperous, strong, democratic, just, and civilized."
This reality also affirms the truth that in our country, there is no other political force besides the Communist Party of Vietnam that possesses the courage, wisdom, experience, prestige, and ability to lead the country through difficulties and challenges, guiding the revolutionary cause of our people continuously from one victory to another. We are proud to have a genuine revolutionary party - the Communist Party of Vietnam, a ruling party building a socialist Vietnamese state on the basis of a solid democracy, which is an inevitable law for building an increasingly strong and prosperous Vietnam.
The chill of winter has hidden itself behind the last yellow leaves falling from the branches, accumulating energy for the new season's sprouting; the last raindrops have dissolved into the thick layer of earth. It is also the time when the warm spring sunshine arrives, urging the spring buds to awaken, and humanity opens its hearts to welcome the coming new year.
As we welcome the Year of the Snake 2025 and celebrate another year of our Party's life, we are even more proud to look back on 95 springs with the Party, 95 springs of the Party accompanying the nation. This makes each of us feel the need to be more responsible and steadfast in the path chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh; to unite wholeheartedly with the Party, to build a cleaner and stronger Party, and to continue writing the springs of aspirations to build a happy, prosperous, and confident Vietnam, stepping into a new era.
